hospitality intern
We are looking for interns, who want to support our La Ventana hostel. This is an excellent internship opportunity for those interested in hospitality and tourism. Interns will learn how to manage a hostel, engage with guests and gain experience in the hospitality industry.
During the internship, you will have a chance to connect with people from all over the world, explore Gran Canaria and do plenty of activities. This internship is unpaid.
Your profile
- Studies in Tourism or Marketing (both in the best case)
- Surf practitioner or very interested in the sport
- Active on social networks and content production (at least pictures)
- Knowledge in Social Networks (Instagram, Youtube, Facebook)
- Professional efficiency in Spanish and English
- Minimum age: 21
what you will learn:
- Knowledge in the most important computer programs to run a hostel (bookings, accounting, statistics)
- Lead and supervise personnel; teamwork, delegating tasks,
- supervising those tasks, motivating staff
- Learn the functioning of different booking channels in a hostel
- Learn how to respond to guest reviews through different platforms
- Solve conflicts with guests or problematic situations, develop a proactive attitude
- Organize activities and events
- Reception and customer service
- Organise inventories and monthly orders, communicate with our providers
- Nourish social networks and content production
