You will enter a completely different latino-easter which has nothing to do with what you are used at home.

Fiestas Fundacionales de Las Palmas – June
Commemorate the founding of Las Palmas with concerts, theatre, and fireworks.
Noche de San Juan – 23rd June
Join thousands on Las Canteras beach for bonfires, fireworks, and midnight ocean dips to celebrate the summer solstice. This event is one of the highlights of the year and it literally takes place in front our our hostel. You will see more than 100,000 people doing countless barbecues all over the beach. Big canarian families join over different generations, bring their music-speakers or do their own live music.
This is one of the few days of the year when we also extend the opening time of our rooftop until midnight! 🙂
Romería del Pino (Teror) – Early September
Experience a traditional pilgrimage with locals in vibrant Canarian attire offering dances and festivities in Teror. Locals and tourist join to pilgrim from Las Palmas up to one of the most beautiful moutain villages of the island: Teror. – The cathedral, located in the beautiful old town of Teror, was a already a place of worhship before the spanish arrived – the 2 old pine trees in front of the church turn the place into something magical.

Gran Canaria Frontón King – October / November, Gáldar
Watch top bodyboarders tackle the legendary El Frontón wave, which is one of the best spots of the world for this sport. The aggressive and very fast wave will surprise you! This place is hidden on the edge of endless banana plantations which you will drive by – dont get lost because the streets are like a labyrinth – trust in Google Maps and relax 🙂

Dive into one of Spain’s oldest carnivals with parades, costumes, and street parties. The hostel is the perfect base to join this big party, which every year attracts more visitors from all over the world. Insiders call it the second best carnival of the world – after Rio de Janeiro.
New Year’s Eve – Las Palmas – 31st December
Celebrate on the beach with fireworks, live music, and traditional grape-eating at midnight. Obviously our rooftop will be opened after midnight on this classic night, which is perfect to start the new year with new friends which we garantee you to find in our very social hostel!
